Received short shifter. I disassembled stock shifter on my 986 Boxster which ruined ability to reuse it. Found one of two shafts on new kit was too long to engage locking snap ring or to center shift lever. I had no choice but to cut shaft by 1/4" in order to install kit and be able to drive car. I couldn't wait to return kit and get replacement. I need to drive my car. Cut shaft will no doubt wear nylon bushing in a short period of time. Kit was junk.
