    Better than the original plastic latch

    Replaced the tailgate latch on my 2006 Ford Ranger twice before with the plastic Ford replacement part at $37 a pop. Found this metal one for under $10 and it fits like a glove and much stronger than the original plastic tailgate latch. Awesome!!!! Wish I had know about this three tailgate latches ago. Great product at an unbelievable low price!!!! One satisfied customer here:)

    Just Okay.

    Not bad. Installed in just a few minutes and works as intended. Yes, it's metal and yes it should last well. But my OEM plastic one lasted 21 years. This handle is heavy duty, but it is much smaller than OEM, and the underside where my fingers grip is borderline sharp, unlike the smooth rounded edge of the original part which was much more finger friendly.

    Great deal, fit perfect and works great on my 17 year old Ranger.

    Like others have said, it's metal and seems very well made. There are several installation videos online that tell you how to install it. I sprayed the rubbing parts with WD40 and it works like new on my '01 Ranger. Great price — it was probably my best eBay purchase EVER!

    Good solid tailgate handle

    This tailgate handle was very easy to install, a simple bolt on installation on my 1994 Ranger. It is made of good solid materials and looks and feels like it will last a long time. I didn't know how bad my old handle was until I put this one on! Can't beat the price, awesome deal.
