98 Firebird dash vents
Both parts look brand new, one was still in the box. Parts did not fit initially, both had an outer housing that was not needed nor would it fit the dash without major rework of the dash. Was able to remove the louver sub-assembly from outer housing and the center vent fit like original. The driver side was much more work. The louver sub-assembly was TOO SMALL and would not lock into the dash like the center vent did. Was able to remove the outer louver ring from original and new and swap to the original vent sub-assembly. Once that was swapped it snapped back into the dash like original. All louvers do not function like original they have a 'snap' to close to them vs original is a smooth action to vary the louver opening. I was hoping to get a little cheaper but it's better than ...
