Unfortunately, though I "triple checked the fit" for my exact model and year # of BMW, the new headlights did NOT at all fit, and must have been designed for a different year... NOW that I haver removed my old headlights, there is NO WAY I want to return them and wait for replacements... THAT MEANS that "I have been screwed", because I am stuck sticking with my OLD headlight assembly, and just taking the "lenses" off of the new assemblies, and just, other than the bulbs, throw the rest away!
