AEM 21-862C COLD AIR INTAKE 19 JETTA 1.4t
I ordered this kit after checking numerous others. I have ordered from AEM before and always been happy with their products in the past. Knowing I have always had a good experience with AEM products, I decided to go with this kit. I’m glad I did. The quality of the parts and hardware are notably superior to the other kits I researched and have seen/installed with guys in our club. The installation instructions were clear and concise. Installation was easy. The sound is throaty and deep. The kit also emits that blow off valve sound that all VW Jetta 1.4t owners know isn’t possible without spending $300+ on a good dump valve kit. This actually works out much better for performance also, as the dump valves can hurt the boost building process. The kit itself adds about 7whp and 10 ft lbs of ... Not huge gains, but slightly noticeable. The sounds are absolutely worth the purchase though. Throw in a BMS Pedal commander, a JB4 tune, down pipe and do a 2.25 exhaust, deleting the stock resonator and muffler….. installing a Borla S or XS type or Magnaflow at the rear of the car. The baby 1.4 comes alive and sounds great!!!
