    Thick, heavy mats

    I’m not sure what I was expecting when I bought these, but these mats have exceeded the quality I thought I would get. I suppose I was thinking they’d be stiffer and thinner, but they are thick and non-rigid. They dampen the sound of your shoes as well as carpet, and when driving the car they feel just like the regular velour mats. They lay very nicely in the car and fit perfectly. The driver’s side seems to be molded to fit over the hinge of the gas pedal to some degree. This is normal. Another review mentioned cutting this detail off, but of course that area of the floor beneath would then no longer be as well protected. There is a tab along the top edge of each mat that you are supposed to cut off, but I’m not sure why that is. The floor of the car on either side is uninterrupted where ...
