alright so my buddy has a 2000 contour svt all he has is exhaust and a cold air intake so add about 20 horsepower whats a stock one run?? because he thinks hed beat a stock 1999 ford lightning

I have a 2000 SVT Contour. I would like to know how to locate the ECU. Thanx.

The PCM is located in the passenger foot well and oriented in the corner between the (right) kick panel and the firewall. The connector harness is removed by removing the 10mm (head) bolt from the center and it is accessed from behind the P/S reservoir. (under hood)

RE: kyle, I have a 98 contour, and I dont know about anyone else's but I have outran (1/4 mile) a lightning, mustang gt and a taurus sho.

I owned a 2000 Contour SVT back in 2000. I took it to the track with about 1,000 miles on it and ran a 14.8@93mph totally stock, it was cool out and I am about at sea level, most people run 15.0-15.3 stock.
